Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a performer, writer, director and producer. Her most well-known part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she has directed, produced and starred for her own film Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as Bride in Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was the daughter of a psychiatrist as well as a Diane Benson, was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8, 1977. Danielle is her older sister, and is an artist. Benson attended a Reform Jewish synagogue as she grew up. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father, is too Jewish. Benson's career has continued to flourish following the ending of Buffy. She was in films such as The Killing Jar, and shows such as Morganville The Series.
