Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. Her birthplace was within South London. Her father and mother are both English. She was born on the south London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned a BA degree in acting. She appeared on stage in several productions as a student including the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. In the years since, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. The film's success led her to play Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi as the main character on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with her thriller The Beautiful Life. The series aired only two episodes prior to being ended on The CW. The actress was selected in February 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the series' second season as a regular. But in May of 2013, news broke that Madekwe will quit the show due to her appearance as a guest on the first episode of the series' third season. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba on the show Salem. From June to July 2012, she got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared with each other on Salem and he had a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. The four brothers she had were also present and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball fields because her brothers, who were all athletic, played baseball, hockey, as well as both during spring and summer. Ashley could not walk but could dance. This led to the fact that as she grew older She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in high divisions. Ashley won the best soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention the few.
