The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five tracks that made it to the top of the charts on Billboard as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners were inspired by her story of doubting herself and learning how to be a better person. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate messages about mental health kindness and self-love into her music. The music she sings is reflective of her own personal struggles in dealing with anxiety and depression. According to a Reuters Interview, her album is described as half tumultuous half perfected. She describes her growth by therapy and is adamant about encouraging other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on 11 July 1996 of Italian parents of Italian descent. Alessia Cara's parents bought her an instrument at the age of 10. This was her beginning with music. In 2013, she covered her favorite songs for YouTube which is a well-known platform for media. The goal was to prove that she had the capability and the self-confidence to become an artist. One of her covers, Sweater Weather, was the one that got her attention. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and compose her own music.
