Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy grew up on the 16th of April, 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine and has Scottish and English roots. Her mother hails from Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy has the eldest of five children. Four are the result of a previous marriage to Taylor's father. They lived together at home in Buenos Aires from the time she was six years old until the time they moved to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy stated that it was an emotional move as she refused to take classes in English since she was hoping to return to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed to Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in the school's shows. She quit high school at 16 in order to pursue her acting career. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actress. The opportunity was offered to her opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her modeling work.
